MW3: First Impressions/Thoughts?

So I got the game today, and needless to say, it's pretty fun. They took out the combat record, which I think was pointless, but whatever. I REALLY like the fact that you can rank up in spec ops, almost coulda made up for only 2 player spec ops. The maps are fucking huge, which really surprised me. Weapons are balanced out, everyones using any weapon, I have yet to see a frequent weapon in action. I dont like how you have to wait 5 seconds per round in modes like Search and Destroy, kinda pointless. Overall, this game is pretty decent, expected more, but it'll just have to do :thumbsup:

I have two issues with it, both relating to audio. a) Can't change Music/ sound fx seperately. b) fucking mic quality is SHIT.

I actually think these maps are smaller than in past cods. You won't see a favored weapon in the first couple weeks of the game...it takes time for people to try everything and pick what is best. Combat record was made by treyarch...so I didn't expect infinity ward to put it in their game.

Right now my favorite thing in pubs is using specialist with hardline. Whoops so much ass....sniping is also pretty sexy.

Finally played it at a friend's house yesterday (will be getting to game soon, currently in a financial rut until next week).

Yes, the game is like a $60 map pack for MW2. The new guns are awesome, including the sniper rifles which I am very happy about. I really like the new modes they have to offer to keep things interesting for a while. The biggest let down is the maps as they seem generic as ever. I give them a few points for actually trying to be a little creative; Arkaden, Fallen, Underground are all maps that I really enjoyed. I do like the concept of it being a "world" war.

So Far its good. I don't see any overpowered gun. Everyone uses random guns. The MP is great. Proficiencies are fucking great. I kinda like the concept of the new Killstreak system. So far, this game is BEAST. Spec Ops is great. About the Campaign, It was great. Loved it but it feels a bit short. I expected a longer one but still its great. Overall, this game is good, better than Black Ops . Couple issues with chat and stuff, I'm used to those . I like the new guns . So, That's just my opinion about MW3 .

Its pretty cool, i think host advantage and all that is upgraded in this game, so is hit detection.

and damn yesterday playing HQ i was doing bad as fuck, needa learn the maps, team deathmatch seems to work better for now

I love it, Lvl 22, suck though, get owned, even when using the Scar-L, which doesn't seem to OP to me.
I don't like a lot of the more maze and small like maps, but I'll probably get used to them.

Nah, SCAR has a nice ROF and Recoil is absolutely zero.

I thought exactly the same thing Psy, first thing I tried to turn off was the lobby music: it's all dumped into a master volume: wtf. Only game I've seen do that in a LONG LONG LOOOOOOOONG time = FAIL. And my turtle mic would not work for the first time ever Tuesday, so I haven't gotten to say a word online yet. Sucks. Idk what the hell is going on with the sniper rifles but I haven't had one person miss me yet, quick scoping is like an aim bot now or something, like when they pull the scope up it auto aims onto me. Unless it's an insanely huge coincidence that ever player I've encountered with a sniper got lucky or they are all just ungodly good at quick scoping now. Haven't played MP since Tuesday cuz it pissed me off so much.

I met the Walsh Bros at Gamestop. Turns out that they are recognized MLG Amateurs. They want me to go to MLG Columbus with them next year so they're training me and we'll be playing together on TL. I'll do an OVR though.
