well...now there's no excuse NOT to buy a PS3 since it is the cheapest Blu-ray player on the market atm.

It also means there will be a huge sale on existing HD-dvd players and the 350+ HD movies that are out as well....

Blu-ray players will be able to play standard DVD and then upconvert to 1080p for HD tv's

yes they will, and some(more expensive) Blu-Ray players can upconvert your current DVDs which will give you HD picture quality.
i dont think the PS3 can do it..

yea i thinking about getting a PS3 before the year ends.
