I play xbox with 2 controllers. A normal wireless xbox one, and a razer onza. The normal xbox controller I like better for games where reaction time isn't essential and I am just enjoying the game, such as skyrim or other RPG type games. I like the wired for FPS multiplayer such as COD or Battlefield or Halo, not only because of the extra buttons the onza comes with, but that your commands are ever so slightly faster on a wired controller.
I have always played with Wired Controllers in my competitive gaming area, the connection is stronger and faster bc it's through a cable not through signal waves in the air, if you go from playing with a wireless controller to playing with a wired controller the next match you can actually tell the difference, I myself had to put my sensitivity down another notch when I realized this a couple years ago!
i always go wireless for console gaming but when im gaming on my pc i use wired, it just works better
