So my whole life, I've been a very warm to hot shower kind of guy. I get in there, steam it up, and I just like the way it feels.

So I would always get out of the shower, be drying off, and I'll be like k im dry! and then I'll be wet in spots Ive already dried. So I figured: All that steamed up bathroom and hot water for extended periods of time is probably making me sweat after my showers, which defeats the whole purpose of taking one in the first place!

So what I've started doing lately, especially after running, biking, or soccer games is taking my typical hot shower, but towards the end, I just CRANK the ice cold water and bring down my body temp. So when I get out, Im not still all hot.

Im not sure why it took me several years to realize this lmao but it did, you're welcome for the knowledge!1

And just a reminder courtesy of OJ: Remember to apply deodorant after showers!

I've always made my shower cold at the end, because I have to wash my face and I don't like hot liquid on my face. :(

hate to be a downer...but...

the rapid change in temperature will give you a headache, maybe something as bad as hypothermia, and anything in between.

Yeah, my parents are doctors. I grew up listening to this shit.

I suggest turning that water to cold very gradually.

Hypothermia from turning cold water on for a minute after your warm shower? lol. I shower the same way, it used to be like a sauna when I got out, like hard to see the other side of the bathroom through the residual steam from my shower. I've since been using colder water cuz I know it CAN'T be good for your skin when you come out looking like a mutant lobster. The worst part about going from pretty hot to really cold is the jolt from the extreme temperature change which may induce a brief moment of livid profanity till the nerves in your dermis stop screaming from the shock.

Lmao that's what I was going to say. It's not good to go from 1 extreem to the other so quickly

Btw cpt if you keep your fan running while in the shower it should lessen the humidity/ steam

LMFAO

Forb - glad I could help lol

Hova - Thanks for the insight, Ill keep that in mind. It's not like instantaneous, because the water does have to shift temps, but I'll slow it down so that you won't lose sleep worrying about my health.

why the hell u gotta get scientific, i understand its for good health but DAMN its just a playfull thread.

but if we are going to get scientific i guess ill give my two cents

did u ever think that the wet spots on ur body is due to condensation from the steam Cpt? like because ur body temp isnt going to rise as much as ur surroundings, or u will probably die, so u are the cold surface in a place of condensed steam. so condesation would occur

now i kno i might be wrong, and i can see the counter arguement to my point already, but like i said its just a thought

Summer is coming in hot so I thought I would bump this up so people who didn't see it last year can get in on this life-changing system.

Hova Update: I have been keeping it gradual. I start her off warm and go cooler to cold right at the end.
