Yet another law firm is looking to sue EA over Battlefield 4, alleging that EA misled investors about the condition of the game.
A few days ago we reported that EA is facing a class-action lawsuit over Battlefield 4, for allegedly misleading investors over the condition of Battlefield 4. Just days before the game was released, several EA executives offloaded almost $5 million in EA stock.
Now another law firm, Bower Piven, has filed the same class-action lawsuit, and they’re seeking for an EA investor that has lost at least $200,000 on EA stock purchased over the past few months. EA’s shares have been very volatile lately, due to the problems of Battlefield 4.
There’s no denying that all the problems that Battlefield 4 launched with have resulted in lost sales. The game was unplayable when it launched, and only now, after almost two months and a dozen patches, can it actually be played. Still, it’s far from perfect.
However, it seems that these lawsuits piling up are from lawyers looking to make a quick buck on the back of EA’s troubles. And for the gamer, the lawsuits and the result of them won’t have any effect — the lawsuits are from investors who feel misled by EA.
EA has previously said that they will fight every lawsuit in court and they called them “meritless”.
