Developer DICE tries to assure fans that they are still committed to BF4, despite the announcement of Battlefield Hardline.

With the announcement of Battlefield Hardline, many fans are wondering whether DICE has given up on Battlefield 4. After all, the game has been suffering since day one. DICE has put our concerns at rest, saying that they are still commited to Battlefield 4.
DICE’s Karl Magnus Troedsson said that while DICE is helping development of Battlefield Hardline multiplayer (the main developer is Visceral Games), they are still focused on Battlefield 4. DICE has teams both at its Stockholm and Los Angeles offices dedicated to BF4.
Troedsson added that the new Community Test Environment has been a success, and that there is a new Battlefield 4 patch in the works which will fix the netcode. We previously reported that the Battlefield 4 CTE version appears to be running a lot smoother than the regular game, due to an update in the tick rate.
Battlefield 4 still has two more expansions awaiting: Dragon’s Teeth, which will be released early next month, and Final Stand, which should be released a few months later.
Battlefield Hardline is a tactical shooter that resembles Counter-Strike, and is scheduled for release this Fall on all major platforms.
