Let's see here phelps has 20x more events. Bolt has what 100 M 200M and the 4x100 relay? Every event bolt has completed in he has gotten a gold. Let me know when phelps does that.
It's harder for Phelps to do that since he competes in more events like you just said lol. They're both great at their respective sports but, you can't say Usain Bolt is the best athlete ever when all he does is run. It's great that we got to witness the greatest runner and swimmer ever in their prime. Both are great but as for best Olympian ever that would go to Phelps solely for his medal count.

Bolt has the 400m and the 800m. He doesn't compete in that because Bolt is not as talented as Phelps is in swimming, either that or he doesn't want to be seen as a third or fourth place finisher. Yes he's fast but in no way a better olympian than Phelps. Swimming is not just freestyle 100m and freestyle 200m, swimming has butterfly, backstroke, relays, etc etc. Running has more events also, but Bolt does not compete in them.
Since when do sprinters run 400m and 800m? SPRINTERS ARE LIMITED IN EVENTS. LET ME KNOW WHEN PHELPS RACES AND DOESN'T TRY HIS 100% EVERY RACE AND STILL DOMINATES LIKE THAT NIGGA BOLT. me gusta

Bolt could have trained easily for the 400m and done well in it. Also, are you telling me that the runners running the 400m do not sprint? Let's see how you compare with them, they probably run 400m faster than you could run 100.
