Scratched disc solutions?

I was playing MW3 today with MM and Bryton and after a game I stood up to go do something and it turs out that my turtle beach cord was tangled around me so when I stood up it yanked the 360 and it knocked it on its side...

It made a nasty noise until I turned it back upright. Ejected the disc and it was bad, scratched in circles. Tried loading it back up, but the 360 doesnt recognize it as a game, it just says mixed media disc.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? How did you solve the problem?

After some googling I might look into xbox customer care (they might replace the disc), the publisher might replace it, I saw some vids on do-it-yourdself buffering.

Also heard: take it to gamestop, they have a buffering service.

Vik's suggestion: buy it used, return scratched disc and say WTF MATE

Supposibly u apply a thin, very thin coat of lotion and buff it up with a rag. like a dot of lotion. seen my cuz do it and it worked..... supprizingly

The disk can't be fixed, period. No gel or solution will fix it because with scratches that bad u actually scratched off some of the game data. U need a new one.

if you dont want to do the blockbuster thing, i believe if your disc is scratched, you can send it to activision along with 20 bucks and get a new disc.

this works. did it a couple times with ps2 games. the (more) ethical thing to do is to argue with activision that u got sent a bad disc. i don't think disc doctors work to be honest.

That Sucks Cappy. This has happened to me soooooo many times with disc's..... Different scenerio's, But scratched all the same. I havent found a fix... tried a few things. End result was replacing the disc =(

Lol Cpt what I was saying is just buy it used from Gamestop, swap the discs out and just return it saying you didn't want the game. You can return used games within seven days. Either that or the Blockbuster way is what you should do unless you want to go out and pay another sixty bucks.

I really don't see how saying activision sent me a bad disc is any more ethical than saying blockbuster sent me a bad disc lmao.
