omg do i ahve to say this twice? in the new moh u can be taliban about today. meanwhile mw2 is about MODERN future idiots.
In the past war games, you could be Nazi soldiers, Japanese soldiers, etc.
One could argue that the Nazi/Japanese were a lot more dangerous to America than the Taliban. For a number of reasons, the most notable being that Axis forces killed many more Americans than any terrorist group ever did.
and modern doesn't mean future, it means present day. The Modern Warfare series takes place only about 5 years in the future, and the enemies are the ones America faces today (Afghan soldiers).
Not to mention in MW2, the main character fights and kills American soldiers: Shadow Company (i think thats what they were called) were all American troops under command of Shepard.
But of course, its all about how we view this.
As Americans, these games should offend a large number of people, and while it wouldn't be unconstitutional to ban them, we're lucky enough to have an increasingly liberal government that just doesn't mind.
As for other countries that are not so easy going with the banning, they are perfectly entitled to do this. Both legally and ethically.
and stop calling people idiots.
