Rapper Guru, of Gangstarr, passed away monday, April 19th.

Guru was a pioneer of the jazz/hip-hop fusion in the late 80s and early 90s. One of the most talented an inspirational emcees in history.

I remember hanging out in my cousins basement. I must've been around 7 years old when i heard my first Gangstarr record (Royalty). My cousin would set up his turntables and play Moment of Truth all day.

Rest in Peace Guru, you will be missed.
