PS3 Ethernet Qusstion

Do I just have to hook up the modem to a cable connection and then ethernet out of that? or do i have to have the modem hooked up to a PC for it to work?

i think so, dont need a comp for the internet to work. just plug it in and search for the internet if its a wireless one

well the wireless at the school is shit and is on and off... doesnt want to work on certain games like socom, which is why i just wanted to go to a wired connectioon

All you need is a cable, and an internet connection, just like wireless but with a wire.

Yeah, I know. Less hassle using wired. I find using wired gives me better connection/advantage over people.

PC may be used in the set-up process, but not for connecting XBOX/PS3 to Router/Modem.

One more thing, do you have a connection already, just connect a cable to that. If it is wireless use the function of the wireless to connect your PS3, I'm sure you do, If you're on this site.
