After weeks of teasers, it looks like Oppo is finally ready to put their newest Android phone on shelves. Both versions of Oppo’s flagship will be available starting December 10.

There’s a lot to like about the unique design decisions found within the Oppo N1. The touch panel on the back, the separate Bluetooth dongle, and the rotating 13MP camera for use as both a rear and selfie camera make the phone hard to ignore. In the US the N1 may not see much traction due to the lack of LTE, but everything else about the phone is entirely impressive.
Being the first company to offer a limited edition of the phone that comes with CyanogenMod pre-loaded doesn’t hurt either, and after our time with the device it’s hard to say no to if you’re into big phones.

Oppo has a history of being developer friendly and allowing the open source community to play with their previous models, but this will be the first time they have offered to ship with an aftermarket build of Android that wasn’t developed by the company releasing the phone. We know that Oppo and Cyanogen have been working close together to release this phone in a timely manner, and it looks like that day is finally here.

If you’ve got $599 you’re willing to part with, Oppo will have both the Color OS version and the CyanogenMod version of the Oppo N1 available on December 10. Both editions of this phone offer a great experience, especially with some of the unique tools available on that crazy camera, so be ready on the 10th if this is on your must-have list.
