New server patch fixes the most common game server crash.

Battlefield 4 has not only been plagued by client crashes and freezes, but also by much worse server crashes — when a server goes down, the game ends for all players and all stats and progress are lost.
DICE just rolled out another server update, which includes a fix for “the most common game server crash”, according to the official patch notes. The previous server update, released just a few days ago, fixed the “Join server queues”. The latest server patch, called “R6″, should be rolled out to Battlefield 4 multiplayer servers worldwide by now.
Battlefield 4 has been out for a week now, and already we’ve seen several server patches released. Regarding a client patch, things could take longer, as the patch has to go through testing. It could take even longer for consoles, as the patch has to go through various certification procedures at Microsoft and Sony.
Yesterday, DICE revealed that they are working on fixing the game crashes on the PC and consoles. There is no official release date on the patch, but we wouldn’t expect the patch for at least another week or two, as it looks like these are serious issues that have to be addressed.
