Well it looks like the Rockies blew game 1. They had chances early which wouldve made Philly play from behind. It's not lookin good though, cuz if you can't hit cliff lee how do you expect to hit hamels??

i think Cliff Lee is alot better than Hamels. But then again i havent seen either pitch too often. All i know from them comes from what i see in the box scores.
and im sooo happy that Detroit was eliminated. Verlander would've been easily the best pitcher in the postseason, in the AL atleast.

yea i think hamels is better. although lee definitely has been doing well since joining the phillies. i know the rockies can hit him, they just didnt bring anything today and it showed.
o BTW: Rockies > Phillies xD
If the Phillies had as much money as the Yankees, they would overpay theyre players too.
And the Yankees do buy alot of free agents, but they're farm system has turned up ALOT of big players.
such as...
Jeter (easily the best all-around shortstop during the last 15 years)
Rivera (easily the best closer ever)
Posada (not the best catcher of his time, but very consistent, awesome hitter)
and some younger guys like...
Cano (one of the most underrated hitters this year, has to be top 10 in the AL, best 2B in the AL)
Chamberlain
Phil Hughes
Phil Coke
Melky Cabrera
Bret Gardner
David Robertson
Wang
Acevas
Ramiro Pena and Francisco Cervelli are gonna be big in a few years.
^thats more than a third of the team, not bad for a team that has a reputation for "buying" players.
and who on the Yankees has been accused of steroids? A-Rod and Pettite.

With the new policies, its safe to say that neither of them are on it anymore.
The Phillies are a good team, no doubt.
But i dont know if they can win the NL. At first i woulda picked the Dodgers, but i think the Cards have a better chance.
The Phillies have the 2nd best offense in baseball, and two VERY good starters.
But their bullpen is a little shaky. I wouldn't trust Brad Lidge to fetch my coffee.
Yea Phillies have had some bullpen problems this year, especially Lidge. Yankees will probably get to the world series. I'm not too sure about the Phillies now. :hmmm:

snow game FTW? I am pumped we are at home, but our BADASS #3 starter hurt his groin and is out for the NLDS so Im not sure about how effective our pitching will be but I think we got through the toughest part of the Phillies' lineup.
I think the Cards can put something together at home, but seeing both series' I say the winner of the NL comes out of the Rox Phils series.

street is so clutch, he had me sitting on the edge of my seat it seemed like it took forever.
i think the rockies take the next two at home and the series. i just dont think pedro is gonna give us any trouble, nor the phillies game 4 starter, and everyone on our 5 man rotation had at least 10 wins during the season.
as for la and st louis. i cant believe matt holliday bang head man how do you drop that. so clutch in 07 but not 09, although he did hit a homer. i do think its bullshit how the fans can wave thousands of white towels around while your playing with a white baseball.
and the al, its clear to me at least that the sox cant beat the angels, and the twins cant beat the yankees.
some good games so far though.
