If they go through with it, i just hope that it makes the US market compete on price as well as performance. Right now their deal is around 100KBps for $8 a month. which is damn good, I pay $30 for the same speed. I realize that it is harder for the US market to compete right now because the US is so much lararger than Japan sq mile wise, with all the manual laying of fiber optics, so it could very well be 2020 till we can compete.
