Gameloft has acknowledged an issue affecting some players of Disney Dreamlight Valley, preventing them from receiving the full contents of The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition. This problem has marred the launch of the game's latest expansion, dampening excitement for fans.

Between December 2023 and August 2024, Gameloft rolled out the three acts of A Rift in Time, the first expansion for the popular life simulation adventure game. The company followed up with the announcement of Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale, with its first chapter debuting on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

However, the launch of The Storybook Vale – Magical Edition has been rocky. Some buyers of the $49.99 expansion pass have reported not receiving all promised content, including Magical Edition-exclusive items like the Autumn Manor house style, Storybook Vale Dress and Ensemble, Baby Pegasus companion and house, as well as 10,000 Disney Dreamlight Valley Moonstones. Gameloft confirmed the issue in a tweet, describing it as a delay in content delivery via the in-game Mailbox system. While the developer assured players they would eventually receive their items, it has not provided a specific timeline for resolution.

As of 9 AM PST / 12 PM EST on November 20, many players reported missing at least 5,000 Moonstones and other bonus content. In response to the situation, Gameloft appears to have delisted the Magical Edition from major digital storefronts, including the PlayStation Store, eShop, Xbox Store, Steam, and iOS App Store.

Gameloft stated that resolving the issue is a priority for its team, emphasizing their intent to ensure all players receive the purchased content "soon." If the situation persists, the company may offer compensation to affected users as a goodwill gesture. For now, fans await further updates while hoping for a smooth resolution to this launch hiccup.
