EA says they have to do a batter job when it comes to bug testing games like Battlefield 4, but adds that players should be patient.

Battlefield 4 has been plagued by issues ever since launch. Things are a bit better now, and DICE is still working to sort things out. But this has always been the case with the Battlefield series, as it’s such a complex game that it’s impossible to test everything.
Despite this, EA acknowledges that they have to do a better job at bug-testing their games. EA Studios EVP Patrick Soderlund recently spoke to The Guardian, where he addressed the problems Battlefield 4 has been facing.
Soderlund summed it up like this:
“So should players be patient and allow us to update games when they come out? Yes. Should players expect base functionality for something they’ve purchased? Absolutely.
I think if there are two people screaming at you out of a thousand, you can ask for patience, but if there are 500 out of 1,000, you’ve got to change something, right? You’ve got a problem.”
He added that DICE has gotten better at catching bugs and fixing them, and that they are working round the clock to fix the game. But he also said that because of the sheer complexity of a game like Battlefield 4, it will probably never be “perfect”.
