A fix for the annoying "one hit kill" headshots will be added in the upcoming patch.
Last week we reported an interesting (and very frustrating) bug where a headshot sometime resulted in a one hit kill, sometimes not. It all seemed random, which made everything that much more annoying. You can see a video of the “one hit kill” bug above.
Luckily, DICE has now announced that they have found a fix for the bug, which will be included in a future Battlefield 4 patch. According to DICE, the bullet would deal the damage twice, resulting in a one hit kill.
To fix the problem, a client update is required on each platform (sorry, no server fix here). The new Battlefield 4 patch should be released this week on PC, and later on consoles. It’ll take a bit longer for consoles, as patches have to be certified at Sony and Microsoft first.
DICE is taking the bugs and performance issues very seriously — the entire team at the developer is currently working to fix Battlefield 4.
