Cloverfield

My school had a free sneak preview/advanced screening of "Cloverfield" tonight and you know the CPT is all about free stuff. I went and barely got in...

This movie was great. It offers some of the most intense scenes that I have ever seen. And just when you think you've seen it all, this movie bends you over and doesn't take no for an answer.

The camera style was kind of annoying, because it's filmed all by hand (Blair Witch style). But the realistic element really adds an element of "I think I just shat in my pants" to the movie.

Anyway, GO SEE IT before you get spoiled, (not that there is really anything to spoil except what this thing looks like.)

hmm i heard it bombed... but i trust the "Cpt.s Choice" in movies. ill have to check it out.

Well, it is a good movie, but just keep an open mind, it isn't traditional at all. Don't expect it to lay the background out there and spoon feed you the story.

The ending leaves a lot to be desired, but maybe they will make a sequel explaining where the F it came from.

well im planning to watch it this sunday, my friend just PMed on XBL. so i am in the unknown about the movie and im not gonna judge a book by its cover.(they have a good poster)

Just keep this in mind:

- Apparently there is some additional footage after or during the credits that I missed, so stay and see it.

- This strikes me as a love/hate movie. I really liked it because I saw what it was trying to do by showing the events from the peoples perspective... Don't expect your traditional monster movie, or you may be disappointed. Just keep an open mind and try to appreciate the style in which it was made.
