DICE has announced a special, week-long double XP event for all players.
DICE has announced that every player will get double XP in Battlefield 4 when they play from November 28 to December 5. DICE calls this “player appreciation”, and hopes that this will help players, as DICE Karl Magnus Troedsson puts it, “get back the XP that you may have lost” due to the current issues with Battlefield 4.
If you’re not familiar with double XP, it simply doubles the score you receive at the end of the round (on ranked servers). It’s much like one of the boosts BattlePacks, but it counts not just for one match, but all the matches you play from November 28 to December 5.
Furthermore, anyone who logs in during this period will get the 3X scope for the M1911 pistol, previously only available to DICE employees. This is DICE’s way of making up for the crashes and bugs that have plagued Battlefield 4 so far.
But don’t think they’re simply settling with double xp — they are hard at work at fixing the game, and have a patch in development right now. The next Battlefield 4 patch is expected to be released next week. Yesterday, DICE confirmed that they are looking into the annoying “one hit kill” Battlefield 4 bug, hopefully a fix for this will be included in the upcoming patch.
