Violence: Do violent games make youth more agressive/violent?

I think it does, I grew up playing mario bros and super mario world. The kids today are fucking dicks on XBL just bc they are decent at a fps they think they are gods among men.

it can and it cannot, when we play violent games it shows us killing virtually. kids that have been taught that they shouldn't do that shit don't really end up becoming violent. like me, I'm not violent. may be loud as fuck but it's really hard to not only piss me off but to actually get me to go an beat you down. as for kids. they don't know peace because it's like it was with the cold war. Thus is correct, although just another event created because of Violence in Video games.

They say what the appropriate age to play it is, and if you can't handle it then that's your problem, not theirs. A game your brain stimulates while you take part in it.

Hell yes. There's a reason these types of games and movies are for people ages 17+. Young peoples' minds are undeveloped and can be easily influenced. I'm not going to go out on a killing spree just because I play CoD because I know right from wrong. A child on the other hand, does not and if they play violent video games starting at a young age then yes it is very likely that they will live violent lives.

This stuff effects people that expose themselves at a very young age... Like if you experience a seriouse case of sexual abuse as a child then when you grow up you will be attracted to the types of people that assume the roles of predators.

I mean honestly there is a reason that they made these ratings....some parents just don't really care and just let their kids play w/e and say "Oh its just a little cursing and gun play no big deal" and then next thing you know, your child is acting just like what goes on in the game. I know that ain't the situation with every1 but it happens... So in turn you can't go and complain about it because you were warned... Same shit goes for porn, alcohol, tobacco, movies, songs, etc...
