Even before Sony launched the PS4, rumors of a PS4 and PS Vita bundle swirled about. Using the PS4′s pre-launch hype and goodwill in the face of Microsoft’s Xbox One PR disaster, just about everyone felt it’d be a smart move to slip a Vita into every household that would soon own a PS4 — you’d lose some money on Vita sales, but if sales are disappointing to begin with, then getting Vitas into homes is a better move than allowing them to fester on store shelves.
We never saw that bundle — perhaps because Sony didn’t exactly need to sweeten the deal in order to get people to buy a PS4 — but now Amazon and Best Buy have appeared to leak a PS4 and PS Vita bundle, complete with pricing.
Originally, Sony said the bundle was a good idea, and that they would think about releasing it. Then, rumors spread that Sony would announce the bundle for the 2013 holiday season, which obviously didn’t happen. It seems the time is near, though, if the leaks hold any weight. Twitter user Wario64 tweeted a Best Buy circular that listed the bundle, seen below.

According to the circular, the bundle is price at $559.98, and consists of a PS4, PS Vita, and*Borderlands 2 for the Vita. Basically, the bundle saves you about $40. Meanwhile, Amazon listed the same bundle*as*releasing in France on July 4 for*€579.99, or $789.99. Though that price seems high, they reflect the prices of each system in France — around $545 for the PS4, and around $250 for the Vita Slim. If this bundle were to release stateside, the prices would surely be adjusted.
Sony has yet to confirm the existence and release of the bundle, but with E3 beginning next week, we’re sure it’ll be cleared up soon enough.
