Tippmans like that are cool because they are totally customizable. From uppers to lowers to rail attachments to trigger mods, you can make some pretty cool ones.
Things you might not like about this gun is that it has no elbow, stock hopper, and perhaps a uncomfortable pod pack.
-The hopper is not electric. There are some good electric hoppers on the market (I own a Dye Rotor, probably one of the best yet) that will keep up with your gun in balls fired (usually highest ratios reach stock 16balls/sec) (no ramping). This just means your hopper has the ability to push balls faster through the hopper to match how many balls your firing. Whats good about an updated hopper is that it will produce less jams, being on the field and tampering with your gun is the last place you want to be once the game has started
-The pod pack to me seems a bit unnecessary. Try to find a 4pod pod pack that uses Velcro and reaches around the waist. This is actually a lot more suitable and comfortable on the field (IMO of course). The one that comes with this package is used to carry the compressed air tank if you choose to use use the extra macro line (metal composite line attached to the regulator for compressed air to push the paintball). Depending on the regulator, I'm not sure if its mandatory to use the extra adapter.
If I could make a suggestion:
You should look at Smart Parts (like what Cooking said). I personally suggest the ION ex because its a great beginner gun and is mechanical/electrical. Very easy maintenance (although know to have minor issues) and good stability. If you just bought:
a decent mask (I recommend JT, Inverted, V Force, Dye and other popular names)
a paintball maker like the Ion ex or if you wish, Tippmann 98 custom and above.
a pod pack + pods
a decent compressed air tank
and you'd be set.
Unfortunately I don't know how much your lookin' to spend, and yes, paint balling is not the cheap man's sport xD
