Next-Gen Impressions So Far?

Ok you have had your Xbox Ones and your PS4s for a while now, what do you think so far?

What are features you like? What needs to be improved?

How are the games/graphics/load times?

What games are you looking forward to?

I'm still dinking around with my 360/PS3 :alone: but I'd like to hear your thought on the new generation. I'm hoping to make the jump sometime soon.

Having got a ps4 right off the bat i can say im pretty happy with it. Obviously neither system could possibly have reached its full potential yet such as with the ps4 i can't stream movies from my laptop like i could with the ps3 nor will it read external storage devices and theres no Youtube app and you have to bypass it a diferent way on the ps4 browser simply going to youtube.com doesn't work. However it is an amazingly slick machine. It has a feature where i can either completely shut off the ps4 or it will go into standby mode after a while but will STILL charge my phone and controllers. really the only big complaint i have at the moment is the lack of games. Which of course will change hopefully soon.

I'm enjoying it so far...only a couple gripes...

gripe1 - don't like the fact that its not recommended to stand vertically. MS took a poll and said it was 80/20 that most users had their console in the horizontal position. I must be in the minority cause I liked it vertical to save space. And if anything went wrong with the drive it wouldn't be under warranty. MS said the drive was not made to be in the vertical position.

gripe2- is no battery indicator for the controller...WTF. I have 4 other wireless controllers for 360 and none of those work since the wireless controller protocol is completely different in the xbone. It don't matter though...bought a lil adapter...so now I can use my wired 360 razor Sabertooth controller with it now anyways...So I'm happy.

I have both a XB1 and PS4.

I am torn between the two.

The Xbox One OS sucks. Its slow freezes and takes forever. Windows 8 piece of trash. But MS said they are fixing those problems with a OS update soon.

I have never even bothered plugging in my kinect, because its stupid and i dont care about it. I also need need some little kid saying Xbox Turn off while playing COD.

The console itself is huge but it does have better air flow which could mean that it will last longer than PS4. But the PS4 console looks cool as fuck plus being able to upgrade the PS4 HD to a SSD is would be a huge plus.

The PS4 OS is simple fast and easy. The only games I have for each are Ghosts. Ghosts on PS4 is amazing looking. Graphics are better than XB1. But COD on sony systems still have the same issues with framerate. Ill be playing and drop 30 frames and lag and then itll fix itself after 3-5 seconds. I dont know why they cant fix this, was the same on PS3 also.

The Ghosts on XB1 doesnt look as good but is smooth as all hell. No framerate issues at all. I also like the XB1 controller better the batteries while they dont have a indicator last forever. Ive only changed the batteries once since getting it on launch day. The PS4 controller batteries get sucked up so fast and the stupid light bar drains the battery.

Also Ghosts on PS4 is not a challenge I dont know why but people that play Ghosts on PS are just so bad. I have a 4.5 k/d on PS4 and a 2.2 on XB1.

Overall after MS fixes the OS issues and developers change their code to use the full potential of XB1 i think its the console Ill stick with. So if anyone wants a PS4 let me know.

My only other problem is that MS made the gamerscore for XB1 and SOny did too for PS4. You get trophies/gamerscore for watching netflix, using Bing etc. Just stupid.

The PC i built last march is still way more powerful then the XB1 and PS4 so i mostly game on that.

Just my thoughts.

One last thought the triggers on the XB1 are the best. Dont like the triggers on PS4 controller.
