If you were under the impression that Dead Rising 3 was a little too serious, there is now a DLC that completely dispels that notion.
Nick, Annie, Chuck, and Frank are about to embark on an all new survival adventure in the Dead Rising universe, but fortunately they don’t need to*worry about taking any of it seriously. The newly announced Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition DX Plus Alpha DLC takes these four characters and sticks them in the craziest mashup of Capcom IP in existence today. The new gameplay mode lets you dress your characters up in all kinds of Capcom costumes, and in many cases you get the powers that go along with the costume. You’re going to need it, because the enemies you’re going up against range from regular zombie baddies to a giant zombie M. Bison with lasers shooting out of his eyes.
You don’t get much crazier than this DLC, and every bit of the preview looks like a ton of silly fun. The Dead Rising series has always had a funny side, but this third release in the franchise seemed like that silly side had been lost. The DLC exists as a tribute to the “31th” anniversary of Capcom games, and by the looks of it is reason enough to own the game. There’s no confirmation that this DLC will be available with the PC Launch of Dead Rising 3, but Xbox One users will be able to install this DLC today.
