After leak upon leak, you probably already knew HTC was preparing to launch a larger variant of its One smartphone. And later this month, you can grab one of your own. The HTC One Max offers a massive 5.9-inch 1080p LCD display, new HTC Sense features, and a fingerprint scanner on its back cover.

"The addition of the HTC One Max means that we now have an HTC One phone for everyone," said HTC CEO Peter Chou. Back in August, HTC launched the One Mini--a 4.3-inch version of its flagship handset.
And while the One Max carries over the aluminum finish and front-facing speakers of its predecessors, the device has more to offer than just a size boost. Beyond a fingerprint scanner which locks or unlocks the device with the swipe of a finger, the back cover is also removable. Underneath, you'll find the 32GB internal storage is upgradeable to 64GB via microSD card, backed up by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and 3,300 mAh battery.
The launch of the One Max also brings an update to the Sense 5.5 operating system, running atop Android 4.3. BlinkFeed, for example, now offers the ability to download 120 online articles for reading later. HTC plans to start shipping the One Max globally this month, with U.S. availability through Verizon and Sprint.
