Last night, you*dressed your cat in a lion’s mane and took a super hilarious photo that you couldn’t wait to show your coworkers today. However, after handing them your phone with the photo loaded, they did what almost everyone seems to do in that situation: absentmindedly swipe through other pictures.
You may not have nudes on your phone, but you probably have some pictures you don’t want your coworkers to see. With iOS 8, you can now hide them from your coworkers’ overly swipey thumb, sparing yourself the embarrassment of them seeing that*photo of you wearing the very same lion’s mane.
Always good to prevent your coworkers from accidentally seeing your dark pump.

[h=3]What to do[/h]When viewing an image, simply tap the photo and hold your finger until it invokes a menu with two options: copy, and hide. Tap hide. Easy peasy. Now, the image won’t appear in the*Moments, Collections, and Years sections of your photo roll. Your coworkers can safely look at as many pictures of your cat as you can force them to.
[h=3]Why your images don’t really stay hidden[/h]Though a hidden image won’t appear in Moments, Collections, and Years, they will still appear in the Albums section of your photo roll. Even sillier, they’ll appear in a folder called “Hidden,” which doesn’t even offer the option to become password or Touch ID protected for some reason.
However, shoving the images into a subfolder that’s kept separately from the standard roll will at least prevent your coworkers from idly swiping away from your hilarious cat picture and landing on something mortifying.
