It appears that the rumors are true, and Microsoft is delivering in a way that will make all Halo fans incredibly happy. The Xbox One will soon be home to Halo: Master Chief Collection including the anniversary makeover of Halo 2.
Microsoft has finally made up for delivering an Xbox console without any Halo games on it. The Master Chief Collection is going to offer all four Halo games in a single title with tons of extra gameplay. The collection will include each game in its original game engine, including the unique multiplayer from Halo 2 and tons of multiplayer maps to choose from. Halo fans will be able to play the game in the original order it was released to us, or they can take advantage of new story collections that lets you walk through specific parts of the story.

All of this is leading up to the launch of Halo 5: Guardians, so included in the package will be the video series Ridley Scott has been working with Microsoft on. From what we’ve seen at the E3 presentation, the series will introduce Agent Black, a new character in Spartan Armor who is working to find Master Chief in the beginning of Halo 5. The introduction answers a lot of questions that Halo fans have had so far, and seems to offer more than enough reasons to consider picking up a copy of the game even if you already own them all on the previous consoles.
Microsoft is including 4000 gamerscore points in the bundle in case you weren’t already interested, but so far it looks like they have answered every prayer surrounding Halo on the Xbox One. We will be able to play all four games, have access to hundreds of multiplayer maps, and Halo 2 will be totally redrawn as part of the anniversary edition treatment.
The only thing we don’t know for sure is the price tag and when it will be available, but according to Microsoft this holiday season will be all about Halo for Xbox One fans.
