The one day only deal for Google Glass was apparently just a trial run for Google, because now the Glass store is open for all potential customers.
It’s been a year since the first wave of Glass Explorers were invited to take part in an all new era of wearable computing. The last twelve months have seen a dramatic change in the hardware and software associated with the platform, adding third party apps and prescription frame support alongside earbuds and more sunglasses. Through all of the growth the platform has experienced, there has been a dull roar of people eager to get their hands on these computers and try them out for themselves. Google Glass has been an invite only program for a long time, but now it seems like the doors are open for anyone to get their hands on Glass.

Just like the*one day special offer, Google Glass is still $1,500. You can pick any of the prescription frames or shades to compliment your computer, but other than that you’re getting the same thing all of the existing users got when they upgraded to the second version of the hardware. Google’s same warranty appears to be in place, and all new users would be given access to the Explorer Program Forum for problems or support. The cost associated with the platform will discourage many from participating in this program, but it’s also worth pointing out that this is still being labeled as an Explorer set which mean it’s still very much a beta experience.
