While nearly the entire East Coast of the US sits buried under snow, the Titanfall team has started assembling their army of drooling fanatics ready to abuse servers and prepare for sweet mech combat. The Titanfall beta starts on Friday, and those who are selected from the beta will be able to participate in three different combat scenarios across two maps. For six days these players will be slamming Respawn’s servers to show them what they need to do in order to be ready for launch day in March. If you are one of the lucky few who get in, be ready for a really good time.
Lenovo’s acquisition of Motorola Mobility was bound to result in a few people leaving the company, but it was a little bit of a surprise to see the CEO jump ship for Dropbox before anyone else. Dennis Woodside has a history of managing huge teams of productive people, and the newly created COO position seems like it will suit him well. In the meantime, Lenovo’s plans to absorb Motorola soldier on as they await approval for the transaction.
If you’re a fan of Lego, cute stories, Morgan Freeman’s voice, Batman being obnoxious, or incredibly powerful stories that will rip you back into your own childhood, you need to go see Lego Movie. We’ve got plenty more to say about the film in our review, but if you haven’t made plans to see this movie yet you should seriously consider it.
Our app of the week combines the fun of Dominos with a little Western flavor. The Domingos is a puzzle game that requires the careful placement of shaped Dominos in order to accomplish your goals. The game recently won an Excellence award at the Square Enix GDC, and is a great way to kill a few hours and flex your brain.
