4K monitors are one of the newest technologies to hit the consumer market place. While 4K TVs have been slowly eeking out through 2013, proper computer monitors with the uber-high resolution have only started showing up in the last couple months.
Dell made a splash with their budget-friendly 28-inch P2815Q, a 4K monitor that trades resolution for color reproduction and refresh rate to keep the price low. For the more discerning users, Dell’s UP2414Q is one of the more inexpensive premium 4K monitors and now we’ve got a $150 discount for it.
The UP2414Q measures in at 24-inches and serves up the full 4K resolution of 3840×2160. It uses a gorgeous IPS LCD panel with extra-wide viewing angles and rich colors, something lacking in the P2815Q. You also get wide color gamut support, a necessity for professional users, supporting 99% of the AdobeRGB color space and 100% of sRGB.
Being a pro-level Ultrasharp display, you also get the trademark fully adjustable stand and superb 3 year advance exchange warranty. That warranty even covers individual bright pixels and you never pay for shipping, making this a no-brainer of an investment. We saw a very short-lived discount when the UP2414Q first released in December, but this deal is cheaper and likely won’t last long either.
