So you’re just as excited as the rest of us about the influx of ultra-high-definition 4K products hitting the market, but disappointed you can’t afford any of the cutting-edge tech? Cheer up, today is your day: the budget-superstar Dell P2815Q 4K monitor has hit an all new low price of just $559.99 shipped.
We featured the P2815Q a few weeks back for an impressive price drop down to $630, but today’s deal beats that handily. For those hard-earned greenbacks, you get a 28-inch display that serves up 3840×2160 resolution on a TN-type LCD panel. Modern TN panels are worlds’ better than older generations, but that is still one of the cost-cutting points Dell took that keep this model below the multi-thousand-dollar large screen 4K monitors.
The other big caveat is that at the full 4K resolution you’ll only get a 30Hz refresh rate. For text and still image work that’s no issue, but this won’t be fast enough for the gamers out there. It is a concession, but if you consider that your getting 4K for a price tag that is on par with lower resolution 28-inch displays this could still be a great deal.
It still has a fully adjustable stand and is backed by Dell’s 3-year advance exchange warranty. This includes advance shipping and no-cost return shipping, along with guaranteeing against even a single bright pixel. You won’t find a cheaper 4K monitor on the market and, despite a few caveats, still get a lot of display for your money. Don’t wait too long though, we don’t know how long the hefty 20% discount will stick around.
