Rockstar Games has announced the next update for Grand Theft Auto V's multiplayer mode. Called "Lowriders," the GTA Online patch arrives on October 20, introducing new lowrider cars and customization options, among other things. This update is coming only to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
The focus of the Lowriders update is a new customs shop called Benny's Original Motor Works. At the downtown Strawberry shop, players can buy a "huge range" of lowrider customization options. Some of these include new engine covers and air filters, as well as interior options such as velour, leather, or your own custom colors and designs. There is also the option to add a new steering wheel with custom shift levers. What's more, you can outfit your car to lift in the air with hydraulics or beef up your sound system with new speakers and subwoofers.
Before heading to the shop itself, you can check out Benny's website on your in-game phone to choose from six different customizable vehicles. Rockstar is also adding some new social functionality that allows you to open up your car's doors, hood, and trunk while inside or outside of it so you can show it off to friends.
In addition, the Lowriders update adds more Lamar missions, while new weapons are coming to Ammu-Nation, including a fully automatic machine pistol and machete. On top of that, update allows you to buy a fourth property for car storage and adds more clothing, hair, and accessory options. Three new Adversary modes are also included with the Lowriders update.

As announced previously, Rockstar is focusing its efforts on new-generation consoles and PC for future GTA Online updates. It remains to be seen if the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of GTA Online receive any further significant content updates.
