Six months after release, Battlefield 4 players on consoles finally get to make squads before they join a match. DICE just released the Squad Join beta on consoles, which allows players to form a squad, then join a match together and stay as a squad throughout matches.
The Squad Join beta is now available on all consoles — PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The beta will run until the release of the upcoming Dragon’s Teeth expansion. Between now and then, the Squad Join feature will be tested and tweaked, and should be ready this Summer.
DICE has also released a tutorial video, where you can learn how to use the new Squad Join feature. You can check out the video above. Initially, Squad Join will only be available for the base maps, and will not support any of the new expansions.
