DICE launches private game servers on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

As promised, DICE has launched private Battlefield 4 servers for consoles, where players can rent their own game servers. The private servers are now live for the PS4 and Xbox One, and cost $25 per month. The servers can also be had at a day rate of $1.50, or $7 for a week. You can also rent for 90 days with a discount, coming in at $60.
After renting a Battlefield 4 server, players can customize the game in various ways. Options include map, rotation, game mode, players (up to 64), server location. Additionally, players can adjust a bunch of in-game settings, such as friendly fire, ticket count, turn off vehicles, and more.
All Battlefield 4 servers are ranked servers, meaning that players can earn awards, rank up, and any stats collected during a match count towards the overall stats.
DICE notes that this is a “soft launch” of the Battlefield 4 server program on the PS4 and Xbox One, and therefore, servers will be limited. DICE plans to increase the number of available servers gradually over the coming weeks.
Recently, DICE released a new server update and upgraded their Battlefield 4 server hardware. Hopefully this will result in better performance across the board for players on all platforms, including those who spend money on new game servers.
Of course, PC players have been able to rent their servers from day one, which has always been a custom with Battlefield games.
