I thought about dropping Verlander to the middle tier, but he seems to be working on his control and if he can get the ball to go where he wants it to, things should turn around.* His teammate, Sanchez, is a new addition to the top tier, and along with Scherzer, they form a nice one-two punch for the Tigers.* Good to see Cain back in the top level, too.

I really like the top four pitchers in this tier.* Not so sure Jackson can keep this up, since he has always been streaky, but he's well worth using right now.* Strasburg and Wainwright have been struggling lately, and thus they lose their must start designation, but I still believe they are decent options start to start.* Wuintana and Gaudin have outpitched both of the preceeding SPs, but I am not as willing to trust either of them right now.* I am willing to use them if I need a fill in for an injured pitcher on my roster.* Pettitte is just a decent option, nothing exciting, nothing dangerous.* Thornburg down to Gutherie are all servicable SPs and I would pick any of them up if I needed an extra start this week.* Locke and Kluber have hit a bad patch on the road, and while we were all waiting for a regression, I don't think this downward trend will continue.* Expect them to rebound, although I don't like Locke at Colorado or Kluber against the Tigers.* Just saying.* Correia, Dempster and Chatwood are desperation moves only.

All these guys with the exception of Oberholtzer have had their moments this season, but right now, I would avoid using them.* I just don't know enough about Oberholtzer to recommend him yet; let him pitch twice this upcoming week and I will be able to make a more reasoned decision on his potential to make the middle tier.
